The AprilAire Model 5000 whole-house electronic air purifier greatly minimizes airborne contaminants that can aggravate allergies as well as asthma, cold, and flu symptoms. Captures 89% of particles 0.3–1.0 micron in size, 95% of particles 1.0–3.0 microns in size, and 98% of particles 3.0–10.0 microns in size. It permanently traps even the smallest particles so they cannot re-enter the air stream.
An industry leader, the Model 5000 Electronic Air Cleaner is our most efficient model. Comes with one 501 Air Filter. No washing of collector cells — Model 5000 requires maintenance just once a year to replace the 501 filter and wipe off internal components. When used properly with the Model 5000 Air Cleaner, the 501 MERV 10 Air Filter performs equivalent to MERV 15 when performance tested to AHRI 680 Standard.
